So what about the title…. The blogs title comes from the beginning of Bill Bryson’s excellent tome  “A Short History of Nearly Everything”where he states that “It is a slightly arresting notion that if you were to pick yourself apart, one atom at a time. You would produce a  mound of fine atomic dust, none of which had ever been alive but all of which had been you.” Yep. That blew me away. Haunts me actually. I think of it constantly. Obsess about it. Eventually forcing my hand in the naming of this blog.
